The Finance Department is responsible for managing the financial resources of the Vhembe District Municipality through the formulation and implementation of financial control management systems. Since established in 2000, with an operational grant of R9 million, which subsequently increased very financial year, to the current budget of R310 million, this department ensures that every component within the municipality adheres to strict financial and procurement policies and account for every cent spent.
